Cecily has been teaching since 2010 and is an experienced instructor of flute and beginning piano. She is a passionate and vibrant teacher whose emphasis on positive learning environments, inspires a love of music in her students. Having taught for the past six years in Southern California, Cecily is now happily home in the Bay Area, where she teaches private lessons.

Her lessons in flute and piano are structured to develop a strong musical foundation. This foundation consists of basics, which include rhythm, musicality, technique, musical theory, and intonation, and the learning of the standard repertoire for each instrument. Cecily is particularly keen on developing her students into competent and confident musicians who can perform with ease.
