A California native, Cecily received her training in flute performance from USC Thornton (Master of Music in flute performance) and UCLA (B.A. in flute performance). Her mentors include Jim Walker, Diana Morgan, Sheridon Stokes, and Melody Holmes.

Most recently, amidst her coursework at USC, Cecily performed for flutists Emmanuel Pahud (world renowned soloist and principal of the Berlin Philharmonic), Denis Bouriakov (renowned soloist and principal of the Los Angeles Philharmonic), Robert Langevin (principal of the New York Philharmonic and Juilliard professor), and Denis Bluteau (associate principal of the Montreal Symphony).

While studying at UCLA, Cecily was awarded the Atwater scholarship and UCLA Gluck Outreach scholarship, and was runner up at UCLA Atwater’s Concerto Competition.

At USC, Cecily was an active performer with the USC Symphony and USC Wind Ensemble. She also taught music to elementary school students as a member of the USC Thornton Outreach program.
