A California native, Cecily graduated from USC with a Masters of Music in flute performance and she graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in flute performance. Her primary teachers include Jim Walker, Diana Morgan, Sheridon Stokes, and Melody Holmes. She has performed in masterclasses for flutists like Emmanuel Pahud (world renowned soloist and principal of the Berlin Philharmonic), Denis Bouriakov (renowned soloist and principal of the Los Angeles Philharmonic) , Robert Langevin (principal of the New York Philharmonic and Juilliard professor) , Denis Bluteau (associate principal of Montreal Symphony), and many more! She was a runner-up at UCLA Atwater’s Concerto Competition and was a recipient of the Atwater scholarship and UCLA Gluck Outreach scholarship while she was attending UCLA. 

Cecily was an active participant in the USC Symphony and USC Wind Ensemble. She was also a member of the USC Thornton Outreach program, teaching music to elementary school students on a weekly basis.
